The Maths of the Day team share in the ambition to provide a resource to primary schools that assists teachers to raise achievement and attainment in maths AND raise children’s attitude to maths.
Active Maths is an online resource to help teachers and teaching assistants teach maths in a fun and exciting way. Below are just a few pictures of some of the Active Maths lessons that have been delivered so far.
Maths Of The Day Homework
Above is the link for the Maths of the Day homework, once you have typed this in the first time you can save it favourites or bookmark it to use every week.
Simply click on Homework, select the Year Group, then the Area of Maths and a choice of Activity Cards will be there. You can download them as PDFs, print them, or view them on your tablet or device.
MOTD have tried to allow for different settings and home environments. Most activities can take place indoors or outdoors. There is a minimal amount of equipment needed, and these will either be things you will have at home, or cards and help sheets that can be printed off at school or home. Generally, the bigger the space your child can use, the better – they’ll be getting more exercise that way.
