Courageous Advocates & Charity Work
A courageous advocate is someone who is an agent of change and champions a cause which is special and meaningful to them. At some point in life we will all face challenges and need support to help us overcome these barriers.
Here in school we learn that it is important to help others when we can, no matter who they are, where they come from or what challenges they may face. We embrace this by learning about courageous advocates through our 3C values of Caring, Confident and Committed.
We have been looking across school at individuals who encourage justice and who have made a significant difference to others. Each class have their own courageous advocate that they focus on for the year and raise money within their class for a charity linked to their courageous advocate.
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy. (Proverbs 31 8:9)
